CTMH Stamp of the Month Blog Hop for April

Welcome to the CTMH Stamp of the Month Blog Hop for April.   This month we are featuring the stamp set "My Sunshine"!

Hope you'll join us this month - we have CTMH consultants from across the US and Canada who have created some great projects for you featuring this month's stamp set.    The variety of ideas are sure to leave you feeling creatively inspired!

If you've come here from Sarita's Blog, then you are on the right path.  If my blog is your first stop, that will work too! Just keep hopping until you get back here again!   You'll find a link at the end of each post to move to the next site.  Enjoy :-)

My project for you this month is a layout featuring the new "Surf's Up" paper pack:

The banners on my layout were cut freehand.   The clouds and sun were cut using CTMH's Cricut cartridge "Artiste".     Page design was inspired by a sketch from The Scrappiest.

The April Stamp of the Month is available from your Consultant (or from me) from April 1st to 30th.   Purchase it for just $17.95 or get it for $5 when you place an order of $50 or more during the month of April.

To see more great artwork using this stamp set, continue on to Susan's Blog to see what she has created.

So Happy

There is something timeless about the black/white/red colour combo!     The new "For Always" collection from CTMH has beautiful patterns in blacks, whites and greys.   You can add any pop of colour to the papers using cardstock & embellishments - but my favourite is the red!

The layout design is a sketch from the CTMH book "Make it From Your Heart".

Materials Used:
CTMH For Always paper
CTMH Chipboard Letters (Monograms)
CTMH paper flowers (retired)
CTMH red sparkles
CTMH cranberry grosgrain ribbon (retired)
CTMH cardstock: Slate, Cranberry, Black

(Yes - I am still working on my wedding album 12 years later, lol!   I'm not a chronological scrapper - I scrap a picture when I'm inspired to and I'm so glad I held on to this photo till now as the For Always papers are just perfect!)

Daddy's Girl

My sweet friend Laurie is hosting a special sketch challenge to celebrate her birthday.  I love her sketch and made time to play along.   Here is my take:

Materials Used:
CTMH patterned paper: Chantilly
CTMH cardstock: Kraft, Twilight, and Cotton Candy
CTMH chipboard accents: Chantilly

Tags were cut by making rectangles and then simply clipping the top corners with my scissors and adding a hole using a hole punch.   Scalloped photo frame made using a Stampin' Up punch.

Thanks for stopping by - be sure to stop by Laurie's blog and wish her a very happy birthday!  And do play along if you get a chance - this was a fun sketch to work with!

My Little Lady in Red

We have a new song on our rainbow-themed March playlist at Scrap it with a Song today.
Our song for this week is Lady in Red by Chris deBurgh.

Here is my layout:

The sketch is by Liz Chidester at The Scrappiest.  The papers and stickers are from Fancy Pants "Wishful Thinking".  I won this collection ages ago and finally had a chance to play - love the bright playful colours.    The rub-on alphas are also Fancy Pants.   I cut the "Lady in Red" title with my Cheerful Seasons Cricut cartridge from Creative Memories.  Cardstock is CTMH (Chocolate & White Daisy).

I'm linking up to the inaugural challenge at Scrap Your Story which is to use 1 photo on your layout.

Hope you'll join us this month at Scrap it with a Song - - let this song inspire your next creation and link up with us for a chance to be a Guest Designer.

Let's Get Sketchy Birthday Blog Hop

  • Let’s Get Sketchy is turning ONE and to celebrate we are having a Birthday Bash Blog hop.  As you make your way along our hop to visit each of our DT blogs you will find lots of birthday inspired projects.   If you have arrived here from Laurie's Blog welcome to the LGS blog hop!! If you have stumbled across this by chance and want to play along then you can head back to the Let's Get Sketchy site to start at the beginning and to start collecting your Birthday challenge words. These words should be bolded on each DT member’s pages.
Birthday Bash Challenge- To create any birthday inspired project from an example you see on any one of the DT pages and upload at LGS.  If the DT project is a layout then do a lift of that page, if it’s a project of sorts then do that project.  You can pick from ANY DT member’s blog project for the hop.
The winner of the hop will be randomly selected and will win a nice bag of scrap goodies from Lets Get Sketchy.  As always there are rules for playing!

Here are the rules for playing and winning:
    1. You MUST be a follower of each LGS team members blog and leave a comment on each blog and;
    2. You MUST also be a follower of the LGS blog.
Please make sure you visit the entire team today as some members are hosting additional blog challenges during the hop and offering their own extra goodies for you so the more you play the more chances you win!
Also as you hop along the way you will find clue words on each of the Design Team member’s blogs.  Once you have gathered all the words they will form a quote related to our Birthday. Tell us that quote by emailing letsgetsketchygmail.com and get your name in the pot for an extra drawing.
    MY CLUE WORD is "YOU".
All blog hop entries are due by midnight, March 8th, 2013. CST.
