CTMH Stamp of the Month Blog Hop for January - Find Your Style

Welcome to the Close to My Heart Stamp of the Month Blog Hop for January - featuring the gorgeous stamp set "Find Your Style".

Along this month's Stamp of the Month hop you'll find dozens of fabulous creations using this stamp set - all brought to you by a very talented group of CTMH Consultants! If you've come here from Haley's Blog, you are on the right path. If this is your first stop on the hop, that will work too (just keep hopping till you get back here again)!

To continue along the hop, just follow the link at the end of each post to go to the next site. We hope that following the hop will give you lots of inspiration and ideas for using your "Find Your Style" stamp set, as well as the many other great CTMH products you'll see in each post.

My creation today is a 12x12 layout.  The photo is me and a very dear friend of mine! One of my New Years' Resolutions is to do more scrapbooking this year (as opposed to just general papercrafting!) & to tell more of my family's 'story' in my scrapbooks!  So this layout will go in my "People We Love" album - a place to document all of the important relationships in my family's life!
I have used the Find Your Style stamps for my title, as well as the butterfly embellishment.  The paper is a brand new pack called "Wings" which will be available to CTMH customers beginning January 1st!  This new paper pack is FABULOUS and I'm sure you'll see it many times along today's hop, as it has quickly become a consultant favourite!!
The layout design is Twisted Sketch #81.

Materials Used (all Close to My Heart, except as noted):
Wings Level 2 Paper Pack (available January 1st)
Find Your Style acrylic stamp set (January 2011 Stamp of the Month)
Noted Backgrounds acrylic stamp set
Picture Perfect acrylic stamp set
Life's Framework acrylic stamp set (exclusive to consultants)
Black Mini Medley Collection (available January 1st)
Wings Assortment Pleated Ribbon (available January 1st)
Ink: Vineyard Berry, Juniper, Olive
Bazzil Basics Scalloped Border

The "Find Your Style" stamp set is available from your consultant from January 1st to 31st!  You can earn this stamp set at a discount or even FREE with every CTMH order placed in the month of January!  And when you purchase this month's WING's Workshop on the Go - earning this stamp set is even easier!  Email Me for all of the details!

Thanks for stopping in!! To continue on the hop, visit GEORGIA's Blog to see what she has created for you!

A gift for my neice!

My 10 year old neice has really taken an interest this year in scrapbooking and cardmaking, which, of course, I am so excited about!!  As part of her Christmas gift this year, I made her a box to keep the cards that she makes.   Not the greatest photos - I snapped these quick on my work desk before getting them wrapped & under the tree -- it was kind of a last minute project :-)   But, despite the last minute rush, love how it turned out!

A few more Christmas cards

I'm still here!!  I've been battling strep throat, as well as caring for a sick kid!  So please forgive my absence of late!  My Christmas plans (and crafts) have all completely gone off track!!  Hope to get everyone healthy and will resume posting regularly once the holidays are done!!

In the meantime - here are a few simple Christmas cards I made a while back:

This first one features the retired paper Holiday/Everlasting Creative Basics.  The stamp set is "A Timber".

This one features the retired paper pack Aspen and the snowman stamp set is one of my all time favourites "Snow Friends".

Hope your Christmas preparations are going well . . . only 3 more sleeps!!

Snowman Soup for the Brownies

I put these little Snowman Soup packages together for my daughter's Brownie group.  Each package contained a holiday foam beverage cup, a candy cane, a package of hot chocolate, a baggie of mini marshmallows, and a handful of Hershey's kisses.

Mini Composition Books

Here are some little mini composition books I made recently.  These are purse size - perfect to keep on hand (I have notepads like this in my car, in my purse, in my kitchen drawer, etc.).  These are a great stocking stuffer idea for pretty much anyone.  All of these were made with all Close to My Heart products - paper, stamps, rubons and embellishments.   The mini composition books themselves came from a dollar store I visited in the US this past summer - I haven't found them here in Canada yet, but you could really use the same idea with any small notebook.

Another Clean & Simple Christmas Card

One layer cards - a rare thing for me - - but I quite like the understated simplicity of this one!
I used the Clean & Simple Stamping Fall to Layout #115. My ornaments are embellished very simply with a little bitty sparkle in the center of each ornament!

I also made the same card with the longer oval ornament stamps - but didn't deem them post worthy as I managed to stamp them off-center!!  But this is a great versatile sketch that you could use with a number of different images. Check out all the entries on the Clean & Simple blog post (linked above)!

Materials Used (all Close to My Heart):
All the Best stamp set (available only with the Mistletoe Workshop on the Go kit)
Inks: Desert Sand, Olive, New England Ivy and Cranberry
