I'm sure I'm not alone in feeling that scrapbooking about myself is HARD!!! But, I do realize that future generations (if anyone actually does pick up one of my scrapbooks one day!) are going to want to know about me too! So I took the challenges this week at: Better Living through Scrapbooking and Category Stories, both of which were "ALL ABOUT ME".
I used a sketch from my Page Maps book, page 44.
Here is my layout:
Not the most flattering pictures of me - but that makes it more real, right? (And there isn't a lot of selection when trying to find photos of just me, as I usually have the camera!)
Materials Used (all Close to My Heart):
You Rock Level 2 Paper Pack
Tiny Typewriter Alphabet acrylic stamp set
Bold Color Ready Alphabet
Dimensional Elements - simple lowercase alphabet
Autumn Craft Buttons
White Mini Medley (white crocheted flowers)
Ink: Outdoor Denim, Sunflower
Cardstock: Outdoor Denim, White Daisy
Love this! I did an all-about-me layout in May with my club. I think it's so important! Your photos look fabulous as does your page.
ReplyDeleteWonderful! Carla, I agree - we need to include ourselves in our scrapbooks! I'm going through my mother, father, and their parents photos and albums right now and 1) the didn't write the story - so most of the time I don't know who is who and 2) there is a definite absence of the photographer! Good for you, handing over the camera and being smart enough to create this terrific layout!
ReplyDeleteCarla, I love it and your photos are beautiful. I have been meaning to do an album of me. Now you have me motivated.
ReplyDeleteI love it. You always inspire me!
