I have two creations for you today!
The first is a layout I did of my son & my husband on our recent trip to Maui. I used the Stamp of the Month as part of my title and also as a 'photo corner' accent on the photos. I used this week's sketch at Pencil Lines for the inspiration for my layout.
(sorry about the 'scrap cardstock editing' . . . I haven't figured out how to 'blur' photos in my editing software and I don't like posting current photos of my kids on the internet . . .)
Materials Used (all Close to My Heart, except as noted):
Wonderful Friend - June 2010 Stamp of the Month
On the Edge Acrylic Stamp Set
Rustic Alphabet Acrylic Stamp Set
Desert Sand Textured Cardstock (retired)
Other: Martha Stewart Flocked Alphabet Stickers
Inks: Cocoa & Indian Corn Blue
My second project is a fun little Father's Day card. The card features an origami shirt fold. (There are great instructions to the folding technique on Beth's Blog). I used the Stamp of the Month on both the front and the inside of the card. I used dry embossing on this card to create a 'frame' around my central image. I also did lots of sanding, as well as ink distressing on this card to give it a really 'rough', masculine feel.
Materials Used (all Close to My Heart):
Wonderful Friend - June 2010 Stamp of the Month
Black Textured Cardstock (retired)
Bamboo Cardstock
